Bugging Fans

I wasted sleep tis morning due to this irritating bug.



I hate beetles. For their scratchy legs that hurts ur skin, for their plastic-like propeller wings which flaps NOISILY, for their seemingly hard shells which make them look like commandos, and for their idiotness to always kamikaze into the fans.

At least I outgrown them. I used to evacuate the room upon invasion and wait till my mom or dad gives the all clear (with the terrorist in their hands or out the window). Now I battle with them, the beetles at least.

Early in the morning. 1.30am.

Bcos I dun enjoy the company of beetles & cockroaches, I'm terribly sensitive to the flattering of wings. I heard a soft faint propeller at my window area. I scanned ard for terrorists, plotting my plan to evacuate at 1st sight of Osama Bin Cockroach. No signs on the radar, aka my curtains, I went back to weathering dirtying my Strike Freedom with a Sakura pen.

A while later, the terrorist launched its attack. Me being so close to the window, turned to see Beetle Hussein doing a descent from BEHIND the curtains and landed on the grills of my fan which was IN OPERATION.

My gosh! It was jus 1 inch away from a certain kamikaze and having its decapitated body parts flying all over my room.

...

Damn Gross.

I went out for a tumbler (obviously to cover the fella with any chance I get), I came back, it was hugging the grill like koala bear. Summing up my courage, I sneaked up, eyes on the intruder, ready to retreat at any movement, and switched off the fan. The imitation koala hung on. We stood our grounds, neither wanting to initiate fire.

(Damn its sounding like some battle)

I could take it no longer. I was perspiring from the no-fan-stuffy-room and the concentration on the bug. I shook the grill from the other side. The bugger persisted. I shot rubber bands at it. No hit. I shook harder, almost crashing the fan. The bug merely shifted its position to another grill. I got bored and took these few pics with the camera dats nearby.

It was already a 20+ min battle and getting hot like an oven. I looked for something to poke the bugger. Pen? Nope. Paintbrush? Too short.

Guess wat I used..

Ok. Its NEARBY and I dun have a cane or long ruler near.

So I poked, swiped, brushed the bug out of the grill. It lost its grip. N FLEW TO BEHIND THE FAN!



Its now in a more difficult-to-kajiao position than b4 and hugging the grill ever so tightly. We battled for a while more, until it was satisfied harassing the fan and flew out-of-reach on my curtain. I wanted it to DROP TO THE GROUND so dat I can trap it under the tumbler!

Now its my turn to harass the curtain. Shaking the curtain with my drumstick (still), the beetle only moved from fold-to-fold.

Finally it decided that it had enuff fun irritating me, flew a couple of rounds ard my room and disappeared on top of my cupboard.

Meaning to say its still in my room!

It gave me such big phobia that I keep thinking dat each & every small sound was made by the beetle. I offed the lights, pulled my blanket till the ears even thou I was perspiring like mad. I hate the feeling of its legs digging into my skin, esp the elbow parts.

Gradually, tiredness knocked me out.

N it was already 2am.

WMNS NIKE AIR DUNK LOW - Some Clementine color style

After walking/searching/researching/contemplating/thinking/more searching, I ended up with the above pair of shoe.

I noe RR and Meow Meow are gonna complain on the orbiang colors AGAIN.

Its like the only freaking shoe that catches my eye. After Parker/Barrow having no size, and the Air Tiempo not very dirt resistant (its a bit canvas-y).

The current/previous (aiya the maroon and white) Air Dunk is/was giving me a good time. Its so seasoned that the sole now seems more flexible than running shoes.

But the sole looks abt to make a hole anytime soon. It'd served me since I retired my Adidas Superstar, which is like, 2-3 yrs ago. Very durable, that's the reason I got back the SAME shoe, women's this time round, roughly half to a size smaller, and different color.

The next time I see a shoe I like, I shld jus grab it. This orange tick made me tour thru Queensway level 1 more than twice and only finding it on the 3rd floor. Its going off the shelf soon. Perhaps I should have asked for more discount. I got 20% on that one, off from $124.95. That's $99.90.

That's a hundred bucks. 10 cents makes no difference.

Y didnt I even try to increase its value!?!?!! (getting more discounts lahh)

The More I Dun Like, The More It Comes

I hate numbers.

Even thou its jus 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

N my job features me raging a war almost everyday on those units. 10 vs 1. Bullying me. Hiding from me. Preventing me from taking leave. Preventing me from going home on time. Making me late for classes.

I'm Freaking Weak

I nvr imagined I'm so weak.

I ALMOST FAINTED IN MRT.

For no apparent reason. AT ALL.

WAH RAOZ.. To think that I WAS a basketball player. Retired one that is.

Most prob its my low bloody pressure that's messing me up.

I was happily taking the mrt home from City Hall, with yet another Gundam model kit in tow, standing at the joint of the mrt. It wasnt very crowded, and I started reading my manga.

A few stations later, my back started aching. At Dover, I looked up from my manga. Somehow I felt that I shld alight. I din.

Bad decision.

From Dover to Clementi, it was a terribly long journey. I felt like puking. My view started losing its color. Like I said, for no reason AT ALL.

For a terrible few long seconds (cant be minutes when the journey from Dover to Clementi isnt very long), I thot I gonna black out n faint. Like so malu like dat. My view deterioted to only patches of light. I'm too weak to even alight at Clementi. My ears felt like there's something blocking. I was breaking out in cold sweat.

I fumbled ard my bag for tissues, while my ears still feel blocked. Its so bad that I had to close my eyes while leaning on the wall of the train. It slowly got better n the color came back. For a few seconds only. N it started again.

By this time, the train was approaching JE. Thankfully I got a seat where I closed my eyes n went to sleep for 2 stations. And I was perspiring profusely when I alight. The back of my shirt was wet, my forehead was covered in beads of perspiration.

At least I felt good enuff to alight and walk home.

I wonder if I had vertigo (the blocked ears) or something.

Anyway, I went Sentosa to waste the 4 Carlsberg promotion tickets for the Sky Tower.

Its supposed to bring u up 100m+ to view the scenery. It had been a rainy morning (which I reluctantly drag my wormy body out from the nuahing state I'm usually in on weekends) so the view was very dark and foggy.

Ok this Luge thing is not the one where u lie flat and control with ropes. Its jus like a scooter kinda thing where u control by pulling the handlebars.


N this is obviously not me.

Its seriously FUN! Dun miss it if u're in Sentosa. It beats ALL the so-called theme-parks in SG. There's a track with some obstacles to add the fun and dodge all the slow drivers and hazards who e. brake in front of u. Me and RR were InitialD-ing all the way, overtaking each other at corners, hearing the "engine"(its jus the base or wheels going clok clok clok), and avoiding the little kids all jammed up at one pt.

For 8 bucks, its serious fun and entertaining. Other than being fiercely told off by the fella at the ending line to keep my leg in the cart.

Ok I was trying to brake AT THE FINISH LINE, with my legs that is, cos the cart is still moving when u pull the handle bar back. Think I sped to fast to overtake. Hehhehhee.

Victim of Communication Dysfunction

Thanks to the confusing emails and the super duper confusing letters with so many dates, and I dunno which batch shld I belong to,(N one letter which I only received half an hr ago telling me TODAY is the deadline of eCR) that SIM sent, I'm officially announcing that I've been added another yr to my academic life.

Cant they jus send an email with the subject as, LAUNCH of eCR. Or eCR starts today. Its so much clearer!

Anyway, story goes, I got an email notification in my hotmail, saying there's a new notice in the SIM student portal. It read something like TODAY IS THE DEADLINE OF ECR.

I was shocked. I DIN EVEN NOE IT STARTED!!

All the emails and notices I received b4 this was all the FAQs and subject offered and stuff like dat.

NOT ONE ON THE LAUNCH DATE.

N naturally I got frantic. I've 5 modules to chiong next yr initially, ending my course at the original timing.

I cracked my head, clicked here and there b4 I knew wat the abbreviations mean and wat the course is abt, made my 5 selections (OT, CF, ICP, MACRO, MKTG) and clicked NEXT.

I saw the timetable.

OT ONLY HAD ONE CLASS!! IN TERM 2!! AND ITS FULL!!! AND TO THINK THAT ITS A FOUNDATION UNIT!! SHLDNT THEY HAVE MORE CLASSES!?!?!??!??!?!

AND MACRO TERM 2 FULL. I HAD TO CHOOSE TERM 1, FORGOING CF, WHICH THE CLASS FOR TERM 2 IS FULL!!

Means I can only take 3 modules next yr bcos class is full, n class is full bcos of those confusing notices that I received.

ARGH!

Now I'm wishing those dat take OT and CF in Term 2 had to do resit for previous papers. Or drop out. Mwahahahaha.

I is evil.

With dat, I felt rotten, doing nothing much for the whole afternoon, while the bosses go for meetings here n there.

Then my boss hinted/indirectly ask me to come back tmr n help him do biz plan.

There goes my beauty sleep.

With all these nonsense, I ran off work early to spend $$ release stress. Well, not exactly earlier than knockoff time, but earlier than the time I usually walk out of office.

I wanna get my Diesel.

So I went Orchard, happily thinking that Tangs would have my size. The Barrow is still there when I got there but somehow I got attracted by the brown threadings of Parker. I wanna try both.

Ends up, Parker only has size 9 and 10. Barrow, 5 and 7 onwards. 7 is rather big for me. I needa 6 or 6.5. OUTTA STOCK!!

This is not a good day for me.

So I asked the fella, if he noes any Diesel stores ard. He directed me to RSH next door as they carry Diesels oso. So with that I assume Diesel has no concept stores in Singapore.

I was wrong.

I jus checked. There's one in Paragon.

And to think that I walked/bus-ed from Tangs to Suntec for RSH hunting for the Diesels, there's one Diesel STORE jus A FEW BUILDINGS DOWN.

ARGH!!

I've already said. Today wasnt my day.

But I got a Billabong leather bag. Nah, I jus had the urge to swipe my card and carry something big in my hand.

And YES I needed a bag for my kana-stuffed-laptop-until-seams-breaking Ripcurl bag.

Its so irrational to walk 4/5 of a circle to know that u can walk THE OTHER WAY! Jus cross a few small bus lanes and abt a hundred meters away, dats it.

They shld have put a sign on THE OTHER SIDE.

I must have walked like 400m to Berth 8 from the MRT station, passing by ques that snaked way out of its premises. Its freaking messy.

Note to SBS: No use drawing yellow lines on the floor. People in Singapore have eyes that look straight. Or up waiting for money to drop from the sky. They dun look for money on the floor. Dun thrift on more metal barriers bcos, DATS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE THEM QUE!!! Otherwise, they'll jus stupidly que ACROSS and then AROUND the interchange, not ALONG the yellow lines!

N my energy lvl disappears rapidly after 1.30am. No late nites for me.

Possible to travel but only short vacations. No bagpackings for me cos not robust la.

N my left hand doesnt agree with my right hand! Extreme contrast. Mwehhehehhehe.
1) I can save $$, but doesnt mind spending big oso.
2) Ambitious but doesnt have the energy to match. 心有余而力不足.
3) My right hand shows that I can concentrate for 2-3 hrs but my left hand says I'll be brain dead after short periods of concentration oso. (n I think the palmist caught me zoning off oso. HAhahhhaa)

X-Men III

I think I'm addicted to Cathay seats. So comfy. Watched X-Men III there, in The Grand Cathay. Its freaking huge. Rows A to V, 9 seats each on the side aisles, 16 in the centre, per row. But bcos its so huge, the screen looks small, and the sound effects seems diffused.

Seriously, I cannot recall anything abt X-Men and X-Men II althou I'm pretty sure I watched X-Men. This X-Men III leh, the plot is not as strong as the previous ones. N Y ALL THE X-MEN SO USELESS?? N Cyclops died so early bcos he got a role in Superman Returns? N Rouge is no more mutant?? Mystic too? Angel is a vase that saves his father n convince him that mutants r good bcos he saved his life? Duplicator jus reminds me of Naruto (Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!). Hahahha..

N pls.. no more part IV if the X-Men r jus gonna get more useless. N III is Final Stand already! Dun Dun. Dun be like Star Wars..

N I did badly for ME. I was totally blank when I flipped the exam paper. Seriously blank. I dun see any 25 marks theory questions I can smoke thru in Section B. There's totally no pure theory questions compared to 2005's paper. Monopsony, MRP=ME=W, all comes to zero. -.-" Supposed to be like dat?

Anyway its a killer, I did the 6 questions required, after stoning for like 20 min flipping the paper over n over, applying all the MR=MC rule which doesnt really work out, but I din complete all parts. Very tricky. N my lecturer's important parts all nvr come out. The language is super chim. Y Zone A's past yr paper looks so direct and Zone B one so complicated!??!??!

Its an either u noe it or u dun paper. N I dun. I'll be happy with 34 marks again. Serious. Jus 34. Very happy.

I conclude I'm not good in maths. N those + - x / signs doesnt treat me as their good fren.
